Govt Higher Secondary School, Kimin, was established in 1961 to provide quality education to the students of Kimin and surrounding areas in Papum Pare District, Arunachal Pradesh. Run by the Department of Education, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, the school grew over the decades and was upgraded to Higher Secondary status, receiving CBSE affiliation (Affiliation No. 2220074, School No. 37065, UDISE Code 12040501901) for Classes XI-XII.
Today, the school offers education from Class VI to Class XII in the Humanities stream, with 318 students and a dedicated faculty of 23 teaching staff, led by Principal Tob Tarin Tara. The school operates in a single shift and continues to serve the local community with improving infrastructure and a strong focus on academics and co-curricular activities.

As per official disclosure records, the school campus currently does not have internet facility.
